The Daendels Road
Herman Willem Daendels was a Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies 36th. He ruled between 1808-1811. At that time the Netherlands were occupied by the French. At his tenure he built the highway in 1808 from Anyer to Panarukan. Most of this road is now soars (North Beach) which stretches along the north coast of Java. groove Pantura (Strip Northern Beaches) is the term which used to refer to national roads along the 1,316 km between Merak up to Banyuwangi in along the coast of northern island of of Java, in particular between Jakarta and Surabaya.
Soars across 5 provinces: Banten, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, and East Java. And also soars across a number of major cities in Java and currently, in addition to Jakarta, among others Cilegon, Tangerang, Bekasi, Cirebon, Tegal, Pekalongan, Semarang, Apex, Tuban, Surabaya, Pasuruan, Probolinggo and Banyuwangi.
